Winter hiking trail Nordenau - Herhagen - Nesselbach - Nordenau

From the village center, keep slightly to the right and cross the road. Turn right into the street "Am Herhagen" and follow it uphill, past the Schützenhalle and the Vogelstange, to the plateau - the Herhagen. Follow the road straight ahead. After a short distance, the No 4 crosses the road, which you follow until you reach Nesselbach. Here you can stop for refreshments at the Berggasthof Sonnenhofer or the Landgasthof Nesselbach (further down, about 500-600 m from the hiking trail). Nesselbach is also the starting point for one of the many cross-country ski trails.From Nesselbach, follow No 4 to the Kuhlmanns-Siepen hiking parking lot and from there continue to the "Westfalenhang" ski lift (cross the road here). Parallel to the Nesselbach, follow the No 4 (A6) past the Kaufmansdenkmal back to Nordenau, where the trail ends above the Land- und Kurhotel. From here, continue along the Alte Heeresstraße past the Nordenau ski lift, through the Kurpark back to the starting point in the village center.The section between the Kuhlmannssiepen hiking parking lot - Westfahlenhang - Kuhlmannssiepen is only partially cleared. Alternatively, you can cross the road at the hiking parking lot and turn directly onto the hiking trail parallel to the Nesselbach.
