Cold, clear air and a fantastic winter landscape - what more could you want on a long winter walk?
Enjoy a beautiful winter hike through the Kuckucksuhle on cleared paths.
The winter hiking trails in the Medebach vacation region do not have any special trail markings, but they can be easily hiked using the map provided here or the GPX track and are also easily recognizable as their course is cleared of snow.
Center Parcs guests can join the circular hike directly on the "Hasenkammer" trail by leaving the park near Bungalow 644.
Tip:
The tour can easily be extended with winter trails 6 and 7.

Directions
For the most part, we follow the M3 trail markingsWe briefly cross Hinterstraße and turn right into Weddelstraße in front of the flower house. After approx. 300 m, we turn left into Beckmannstraße. The path now leads past the northern edge of the Center Parcs to the "Hasenkammer" with two farms. Shortly after the campsite, we no longer follow the M3 markings, but continue straight ahead. After approx. 400 m, we turn right and are now back on the M3. After approx. 900 m, we turn right, walk approx. 1 km along a paved forest/field path and then come to a paved path, which we follow to the right. On the hill, the so-called Königshof, there was a Medebach court in the Middle Ages. It is said that a gallows also stood there. Our view of the old Hanseatic town is dominated by the 63 m high tower of the Catholic parish church, which shows us the way back to the market square.

Depending on the weather and snow conditions, this means that roads in public areas have priority over winter hiking trails and are cleared first. There may therefore be delays in clearing the winter hiking trails. However, the city will do its best to clear the winter hiking trails for you,

How to get there
- From the north: A7, A2, A33 to Wünnenberg-Haaren junction, B480 Brilon, Olsberg, direction Winterberg and then to Medebach.
- From the west: A44 Dortmund-Kassel, exit at Werl junction, A445 Meschede to Bestwig, Olsberg, direction Winterberg and then to Medebach.
- From the Rhineland: A4 Cologne-Olpe to the Olpe junction, take the A45 towards Dortmund to the Olpe exit, B55 towards Lennestadt, B236 Schmallenberg, Winterberg and then to Medebach.
- From the east: A44 Dortmund-Kassel to exit Wünnenberg-Haaren, B480 Brilon, Olsberg, direction Winterberg and then to Medebach.
- From the south: A5 from Frankfurt to Gießen, A485/B3 exit Marburg, B252 Wetter, B236 Hallenberg-Winterberg and then to Medebach.
