Experience Eimelrod on its five local, well-maintained hiking trails, each 5 to 8 km long and with a direct connection to the Uplandsteig.
The trail leads around the Sähre to the striking summit of the Osterkopf in Usseln. The Osterkopf with its panoramic mountain peak (708 m) in the middle of a naturally protected high heath area is one of the Sauerland-Seelenorte. Its story is entitled "Infinity".
The trail first leads towards the Wirbelau refuge, then you can decide whether to go right or left around the Sähre. On the Osterkopf, you should definitely make a detour to the summit to enjoy the beautiful view. On the other side of the Sähre, you hike back to the starting point via the Wirbelau.
We recommend sturdy shoes, clothing suitable for the weather, rucksack provisions and sufficient liquids (water, tea).
