Quality tour Panorama Trail Diemelsee - adventure hiking with a view

Sauerland-Wanderdorfs / Neusta Touren / Quality tour Panorama Trail Diemelsee - adventure hiking with a view
The quality tour Panoramaweg Diemelsee is one of the most beautiful circular hiking tours for half-day hikes in the Sauerland. Spectacular panoramic views await you.

At the beginning we have a steep ascent - it is the only one - from approx. 360 m above sea level to almost 600 m above sea level.
Magnificent views reward the small effort. What comes next can simply be described as enjoyable hiking. We hike through various valleys with ever-changing views and panoramas. Shorter sections through forest alternate with paths through fields and meadows. At the end, we return to the shore of the reservoir on a somewhat steep path.

There are no opportunities to stop for refreshments, but there are nice resting places for rucksack refreshments.

Information

Directions

Starting point: Florenbicke hiking parking lot, 500 m after the northern exit from Heringhausen on the road to Helminghausen/Staumauer. From the Florenbicke hiking parking lot, turn left uphill following the white PW markings on a black background (Panoramaweg Heringhausen). Continue with almost no difference in altitude, and after the next steep step you have reached an intermediate summit. Here, at the boundary stone from 1769, follow the path to the right and to the viewpoint with summit cross on the St.Muffert. Follow the previous markings to the left to the summit of the Eisenberg. Behind the summit, already on the descent, we recommend a detour to the next viewpoint of the reservoir. Leaving the forest with a magnificent view to the east, leave the Diemelsteig trail to the right and stay on the panoramic trail (PW) until you reach the Diemelsteig trail again, which you follow in the direction of Adorf. At the edge of the forest, leave the Diemelsteig and continue straight ahead along the edge of the forest. Go around the small wooded outcrop and turn right at the next path until you reach the asphalt path. Follow the asphalt path to the end of the forest edge. Turn left at the junction with hiking trail H2 and Nordic walking trail 69. Leave the tarmac path at the junction with hiking trail H2. We cross a shallow valley and walk over the ridge of the Klus on Nordic walking route 68 or Panoramaweg (PW). At the refuge, walk back over the Klus and reach a meadow path. At the hairpin bend, before turning right again, take another look at the lake. At the junction of the H2, turn right across the meadow back to the village. You walk past the Diemelsee Golf Park with the Diemelsteig hut and children's playground to the main road. Turn right and it is only a few steps back to the parking lot.
