Medebacher Bergweg - Stage 3: Dreislar - Medelon
The short 3rd stage of the "Medebacher Bergweg" quality trail leads from Dreislar to the flower-decorated orchard village of Medelon, with its spruced-up half-timbered houses.

From the village center in Dreislar, the trail leads to the "Im Schwinkel" hiking parking lot, a wellness oasis with loungers for relaxing, oversized spoons and tables with benches for picnics, a Kneipp water treading facility and much more.
The landscape is characterized by lively agriculture, the Medebacher Bergweg runs through colourful meadows with goats and cows. After a small ascent, we walk along the shady edge of the forest to Medelon in the Orketal, where two inns invite you to stop for refreshments.

Directions
The mountain trail is marked throughout with the "Maltese Cross", the sign of the crusaders.Wherever possible, we have placed red stickers with this cross, in the open countryside we have sometimes preferred paint and brushes, where you will find white crosses on a black background.From the Schwerspatmuseum we follow the path "Am Scheidt", past the cemetery, then turn right towards the wellness rest area "Am Schwinkel". From here, turn left, past a resettlement farm, continue uphill to the right, briefly meeting the K 56. The mountain path continues straight ahead across the meadow, downhill towards Medelon, always along the edge of the forest, past the campsite to the village center.

The forest owners are endeavoring to take the necessary measures in the forests and to remove the damaged wood. However, due to the extent of the damage, this work cannot be completed in a short space of time. The clearing and reforestation of the damaged forest stands will therefore take a long time and sometimes lead to disruptions such as closures and detour in the forests. This must always be taken into account when visiting the forest.
We therefore appeal to everyone who cares about the forest:
- Understand that extensive forestry work is necessary in the current situation and that this is currently accompanying your forest experience.

Take a break at the beautifully landscaped hiking portal in the center of the village of Medelon. Relax on the benches while listening to the babbling of the Orke. Children can let off steam in the playground.

- From the Rhineland: A4 Cologne-Olpe to the Olpe junction, take the A45 towards Dortmund to the Olpe exit, B55 towards Lennestadt, B236 Schmallenberg, Winterberg then to Züschen, Liesen, Hesborn.
- From the east: A44 Dortmund-Kassel to exit Wünnenberg-Haaren, B480 Brilon, Olsberg, direction Winterberg then to Züschen, Liesen, Hesborn.
