The gradient-free, asphalted path connects the districts of Nieder- and Ober-Albaum as a hillside path alongside the stream.
The artworks were created as part of a project by 14 pupils, subject teacher Marlene Skala and artist Sophia Hose as part of the advanced art course at Maria Königin grammar school.
The theme "layered - interwoven" provides the framework for the artworks, which focus on the laws of nature, the connection between people and nature, the interdependence of the local economy with nature and the importance of the path for the people of Albaum. The pupils were inspired to work on their project by several on-site visits (including a visit to the HERA metalworking factory, the state fishing institute, lectures on the geology of the Albaum cliffs and local history).
The flyer "layered - interwoven" - Kleffweg art project in Albaum presents the works of art in detail and is a recommended companion for the "walk along the art mile". Download
The project is the result of an initiative by the Albaum local history and development association and was financed by funds from the Sparkasse Attendorn-Lennestadt-Kirchhundem and the "Regional Cultural Policy" funding program of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The asphalted Kleffweg is a traditional connecting path between the districts of Ober- and Nieder-Albaum. The path was extensively restored a few years ago and is easy to walk on.
No special equipment is required for the walk along the Kleffweg.
